About Me
Welcome to my place!
Hello! I’m a political scientist specializing in CCP Elite Politics and China’s Political Economy.
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Political Science at Academia Sinica (IPSAS). Before joining IPSAS, I received my Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at National Chengchi University (NCCU).
My work challenges the assumption that technocrats are merely policy implementers. In my dissertation, I analyzed how professional and political credentials interact to structure the political mobility of Central State-owned Enterprises executives across strategic industries and the Chinese party-state, highlighting the politicization of technical expertise under intensified state-led technological development.
These days, I am focused on the CCP’s high-tech industrial policy in the Xi Jinping era, specifically investigating the mechanisms and strategies the party-state employs to co-opt talent and fuel its national industrial development.
